Ø Some examples of spoof texts (Aren’t you his mother?, Fluffy Bunny Rabbit, and Fixing the headstone) which give me outcomes to be able to:
· understand detailed information of the texts by completing the table of the story elements (e.g. setting, characters, problem, solution, ending) correctly.
· analyze the structure of the texts, including how specific sentences, paragraphs, and larger portions of the text (e.g. setting, plots, characters, or problem)
· draw conclusion of the plot, character(s) and personality, the problems occurred, and the solutions to the conflicts in each story.
· understand and make inferences of the narrative style in terms of vocabulary, sentence structures, and other language features in the plots or sequences, characters, problems and solutions or in other aspects of the story.
Ø Key Features of Spoof
· Spoof : A type of story which has a twist (funny part in the end of the story) contains an unpredictable and funny ending story.
· Social Function : Entertaining readers using twist (unpredictable funny ending). to entertain and share the story to retell an event with a humorous twist.
· Structure
1. Orientation: The beginning of the story contains the introduction of characters and the setting of the story about Who, When, Where sets the scene
2. Events: Series of event contains what happen to the characters tell what happened
3. Twist: contains unpredictable funny ending of the story provides the punchline
